Project overview

Rapid Field Intervention is Zooxia’s frontline response program for wildlife in crisis — from vehicle collisions and entanglement to disaster-zone displacement. Dispatch teams stabilize animals on-site when possible, then transport critical cases to our Bio-Medical Labs for treatment before zero-contact rewilding begins.

The challenge

Every minute counts when an animal is injured or trapped. Remote locations, limited field capacity, and delayed reporting often mean cases arrive too late for a full recovery. Zooxia needed a coordinated hotline-to-habitat pipeline that keeps response fast without compromising clinical standards.

Our approach

We operate a 24/7 emergency hotline, regional responder network, and standardized triage protocols. Field kits cover wound care and transport immobilization, while sanctuary teams prepare low-contact enclosures the moment a case is inbound. Every rescue is logged so donors and partners can see how support reaches the frontline.

Results

Since expanding the intervention network, Zooxia has shortened average response times and increased the share of cases that reach release-ready status. The program now serves as the model for new regional hubs — proving that rapid care and careful rewilding can restore lives that would otherwise be lost.
